City, Mall reach $1.75 million purchase price 1993

Burnsville Current - October 20, 1993 reports: A firm price for Diamondhead Mall has been established, just two weeks before voters will decide whether the City should buy it for a community center. Mutual of Canada, the mall's owner, has accepted the city's bid of $1.75 million. The purchase agreement does not obligate the city in any way if voters reject the November 2 bond referendum... The Mall would eventually be purchased by School District 191.
