The February 9, 1982 Burnsville Current reports the Chamber of Commerce wants to produce a promotional, color brochure for the city this year, possibly as a joint venture. Several Chamber members met with the City Council to develop a positive working relationship and to work together to encourage development. The Mayor at this time was Paul Scheunemann and the Chamber president Kirk Detlefson.
