Thanksgiving basketsEvery year since 2002, parishioners at Mary Mother have made Thanksgiving Dinner Baskets for families in our community who need help in order to have a festive Thanksgiving celebration. Each Dinner Basket from Mary, Mother feeds a family of four and has a $25 CUB gift card for perishable dinner items (turkey, milk, pie, rolls, etc.). During 2017 they presented 451 Baskets.

Mary Mother announces building plans 1968Architectural plans for the Mary Mother of the Church parish, to stand on Cliff Road were announced in 1968. Besides the church the plans called for a catechetical center. The church was designed to seat 1465 people in a semi-circle with the most distant seat only 72 feet from the altar.

Until the church was built on Cliff Road, the "garage" was used as a chapel for daily Mass, Baptisms and Confessions.
The lower level was also used for meeting and classrooms.
