The METRO Orange Line is coming to Burnsville! The planned Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line will connect Minneapolis, Richfield, Bloomington and Burnsville along I-35W with frequent, all-day service in both directions, seven days a week. Service is expected to begin in 2019.

FLEXIBLE OPTIONS FOR SOUTH METRO COMMUTERS

MVTA Connect delivers flexibility, value and more options for riders in the south metro to access the MVTA system of dedicated routes.
App-based reservations and payment
$3 fares in app or cash upon pickup
Service runs 6 a.m.-7 p.m. seven days a week
Walk-on riders accepted (cash only, exact fare) at Apple Valley Transit Station, Burnsville Transit Station and Savage Park and Ride.
During your ride, the MVTA driver may stop and pick up or drop off other riders. All rides provide curb-to-curb service.
Children 10 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian while riding the bus.

Orange Line Transit Station 2021The newly opened Orange Line transit station next to the Maven Apartments, October 2021.

This station is a northbound-only platform located at the intersection of Travelers Trail and Burnsville Parkway near I-35W. The platform is 80 feet long and includes one shelter waiting area with a larger canopy. New sidewalks will connect the station to Burnsville Parkway and neighboring businesses.
