Herbie's and later El DoradoHerbie Pilger was a restauranteur affiliated with a number of eateries in Burnsville. After he sold this location, it became the El Dorado on Highway 13. The building was torn down in August, 1971 and replaced by a McDonalds. Owner Harold Christian opened El Dorado Liquors next to the property.

Herbie Pilger 1968February 1, 1968 Minnesota Valley Review

Obituary for Herbie Pilger, long time resident of Burnsville and owner manager of the Warrior Club. He died January 26, 1968. He was born in Essen Germany July 11, 1909, he came to the United States at the age of 19 and lived in Burnsville since 1934.

Prior to taking over the Warrior Club, he operated Herbies (Known later as the El Dorado) and also the Shamrock Club and Crystal View Inn. He is buried in Pleasant View Cemetery.
