Lost tombstones St John the Baptist CemeterySince its founding in the 1850s some of the early grave stones have been broken or destroyed. In many cases, caretakers of the cemetery have placed the once standing markers face up in the ground.

Memorial Day 2017 at St John the Baptist Cemetery, Burnsville.Each Memorial Day the VFW and American Legion offer a service to recognize all Vets buried at St. Johns. This is followed by an outdoor Mass. Here they read the names of each vet buried in the cemetery.
